Centerfold Fetish Vol. 1: Nine Circles of Pleasure
Underground Video | Buy at Underground Video | Review by Sinferno

An Underground (TM) Video that doesn't scald your eyeballs? Just what is this world coming to? CENTERFOLD FETISH VOLUME 1 (NINE CIRCLES OF PLEASURE) is an erotic fetish sampler which covers nine different popular philias in a motif loosely based on Dante's Inferno. I say loosely because, while Dante's circles of torment were largely based on extensions of the seven deadly sins (Gluttony, Sloth, etc.), in this video the names of these circles are all descriptive and cheesy: Brats, Restraint, Repent, Wet, Wheel of Torture, Dirty Doctor, Leggy, Shaved and Virtual Harem. While one can assume what types of fetishes are included by these aforementioned descriptions, in some cases the ambiguous nature of the emotive, symbolic titles raise as many questions as they answer. For example, is "Wet" about salivating female genitalia, golden showers or seaside play? (It actually takes place at a pool) For fetish lovers, people who love a simple, often non-sexual sensory nuance more than the act of actual coitus, the ambiguous descriptions make it hard to figure out if this product will cater to your innermost whims and fancies. The footage is kind of uneven too. While some fetishes last all of three minutes, other selections may last over twenty minutes in length. The things all of the various chapters have in common are the fact that the action is all girl on girl (often in groups), it is explicit yet without penetration, and the actresses themselves are insanely hot, many of them former Playboy Playmates and Penthouse Pets.

Where NINE CIRCLES OF PLEASURE will grab you tightest is with the quality of the action itself. Before you play it, the chapter menus and the general feel of the thing all make the product at first seem secondary in quality, yet the women are perfect looking, the locales exotic, and the soundtrack varied but always apropos. It is easy to see that when it comes to these Nine Circles the sum of the parts are greater than the whole. Due to the the usual Full Sensory scan (close up) camera work, the action is exquisitely rendered in all kinds of thematic vignettes of provocation and pleasure. I would recommend this title to people who are interested in the world of fetish but haven't chosen or fleshed out an area of maddening personal sexual obsession yet. In this way, "Nine Circles" would serve as a veritable video catalog of various kinks. For those of you who already know what your fetish is, this probably isn't the title for you. Intense enough to be a fetish film, yet tame enough to have a little something for everyone, it is the fusion of blatant onscreen action and secret boudoir lusts.

Sinferno Says...
Yucko/Neato Factor: Softcore (Playboy) fetish videos "touch" explicit fetish themes. This one prefers to fondle them and cackle mischievously; suggestively as it does. The eye candy is so sweet it will give you retinal diabetes. Still, it will put most hardcore fetishists to sleep.
Production Values: This was a completed but canceled Penthouse project that was purchased by an independent distributor. As softcore, the footage itself is a perfect 5 but some of the packaging, chapter menu's and ancillary production values are lacking. Moreover, the "nine circles" are not based upon the famous literary examples that inspired them. Then why use them, I ask?
Realism: As corny as it is porny, but the hypersexual insanity of it all is a "Divine Comedy" all it's own... and it will make you smile.
Value for Price: For $50.00 it is an unusually accessible, affordable title when compared to the usual fetish wares. The glitziest onscreen mix of XXX's and circles since the Hollywood Squares.
Plot: Compilation (however tenuously) joined by common, but divergent, variations on a theme.
